He started OncoXome, an oncology startup, so that he could develop an innovative and promising cancer treatment, one that he spent a decade working on. One that would be efficient while respecting the patients' quality of life.

OncoXome defines cancer as a complex ecosystem in which cancer cells communicate, interact, support each other, exchange information, messages of alert and resistance capabilities. Because of this elaborate communication network, cancer cells adapt to new conditions and aggressions, acquiring resistance to treatments.

HOW DO CANCER CELLS COMMUNICATE?

Via EXOSOMES, extracellular vesicles that are released from cells and can travel to distant tumors to deliver their payload/messages. Their messages can be RNA, proteins, oncogenes, etc.
